i saw herbert's caddie was using a rangefinder this week but without a battery to work for distance measuring that's considered legal. that's one rule i didnt know |

overall the right thing to do but in some instances the callers were right.
for example david eger did nothing wrong in calling in tiger's bad drop at the masters in 2013. that it became such a fucked up situation was ridley's fault. and also tiger's for either lying or being too high to remember what the rule is and how he messed up |

Date: July 19th, 2026 7:29 PM Author: tantric galvanic trailer park philosopher-king local rules that they choose to enforce. theres a bunch of them that can be in effect. lift clean & place when wet/muddy and penalties for slow play are examples. also whether carts are allowed(for non-caseys martin)
some equipment ones i can think of are the one ball rule and spikes being allowed. the tour allows spikes. the usga allows spikes in the us open but bans them in us open qualifiers. iirc one year lee janzen was DQ'd for wearing them. 2 time champ. picked the wrong major to win i guess |
