I'm 5 years into my legal career and there's no longer anything left for me to learn in my current position.

I could sit around for another 20 years collecting a $200K paycheck and doing 5 hours of work per week, but that seems unmanly and undignified to me.

OTOH I could just start reading for pleasure and read novels at my desk. For the past two months, I've been hiding under my desk playing Nintendo Switch, but it's a little cramped there. Maybe I could buy a screen to pull over the glass pane to my office so passersby can't see me goofing off.

if you have any other ambitions you should stick with the sinecure imo. trying other pursuits when you have a full time real job is extremely difficult if not impossible for almost everyone

This opportunity would give me substantive litigation experience in discovery, motions practice, settlement, trial, etc.

I would not have the opportunity to acquire/develop these skills in my current position.
