These days the last middle reliever in every MLB bullpen throws 100. Did they change the radar guns and add 5 mph to everyone like SAT recentering or what? I think it mostly owes to better training/technology and a change in focus on the part of scouts and organizations on finding power throwers. For instance, a guy like Jamie Moyer would never make the big leagues today, no matter how good his numbers are, because he throws slow.
