Good. Jesus Christ.
Every couple years when I have to buy a new iPhone, and I ask whether there's any promotion available to where I don't have to pay full-freight if I buy like last year's model or whatever -- I still do not understand how we went from a world where the cost of the phone itself was a perk of renewing your contract to one where I have to pay a thousand dollars -- it pisses me off on a pretty deep level that the response from the ambiguously brown tattooed salesperson is that, yeah of course!, you can get on a $19/month (5-year) payment plan.
I have a real hard time not rooting for d'Angelow just going "yea Ima take that shit; niteteen dollar?" and then never paying ever again.

"Klarna, which presented Monday’s earnings via an AI-generated avatar of its chief executive, has bet heavily on artificial intelligence and has said the technology helps to cut costs.
The group reduced its total headcount by 39 per cent in the past two years, while its customer service costs were down 12 per cent in the first quarter compared with the same period a year earlier."
lol. a holographic dancing anime CEO informing you that your job has been terminated.

ever notice that tech Engineers fail like this constantly? it's because they Engineer the humanity out of things and can only autistically look at numbers on paper.
it's the same reason why zillow and carvana lost a lot of money attempting to automate house and car flipping. turns out that the "average trade in" on a car factors in a human checking it out first and without that people will sell you lemons the dealer passed on.

this is actually their business model though
their business model isn't to charge people interest. it's to ding them with "late fees" when they don't pay
it's unclear how they're going to enforce things or actually get the money, though. like you can charge 60 IQ niggers all the "late fees" you want on their chipotle burrito purchases. they can just....not pay you

I don't need "credit" anymore. Should I start doing this?
What's the best way to scam them before they stop paying for my stuff?

Underreported part of this story is just how much Klarna and Affirm juiced consumer retail spending. The model works by paying retailers 80-90 percent of the price instantly and pocketing the difference, so by inducing proles to spend more money than they have, retail sales stayed healthy. If prole bank accounts are empty and klarna and affirm need to preserve cash they have to increase underwriting standards and retail sales will take a prole sized nose-dive.
The recession we’re in could end up being a very large one and very difficult to climb out of if the fed keeps rates high. Trump is going to fire the Fed Reserve by this fall.
