That notwithstanding: - this is why calling 3 bets with garbage from early position is poor play -- even if you hit something, high cards have a much better chance of dominating your outs. Statistically, what should have happened, did.
FWIW I didn't plug anything into a solver but I'd guess you were way closer to GTO than the others (which admittedly has limited value at that table). |

After awhile of that, start learning GTO and you'll develop a really intuitive feel for things. After enough time, you may not be able to precisely play GTO in every situation, but you'll start to get a feel for what you should do at times when you're unsure and you'll get better at identifying weird betting patterns that don't make sense. In LA almost all games above 5/10 NL are private nowadays. Commerce will occasionally have 10/20 and 20/40 but otherwise every big game in LA is private and invite-only, because otherwise they get infested with pros who wear headphones, don't talk, play GTO style, and ruin the game for recs. |
