Date: August 22nd, 2025 10:18 PM Author: turbofag (Slop God) His favorite thing in life was Chicago ComiCon at the convention center in Rosemont. He didn't have any money so he would sneak in. I'm not sure how but he knew all the ins and outs of the building. One time we went and we got in pretty easily through some underground tunnel. The issue wasn't getting in it's that there were a million guards looking around for people who didn't have the proper wristbands. Watchmen and I snuck around this expo until we got caught and kicked out. Apparently they knew him and he was like a known baddie. I think he tried to argue with them like he tried to say he was a special guest or something. He had some whole story planned in advance but we still got tossed. He would just go back in. He didn't care. He would relentlessly sneak into ComiCon. One time, I wasn't there, but he told me about a time he met Rod Blagojevich there before he was to report to prison and Watchmen gave him a hug and said, 'I forgive you.' Watchmen told everybody he hugged it out with Blago.
The other anecdote is that Watchmen took all the collective wisdom on this site to heart as if it were set in stone. Despite having gone to a directional school he would ding people for having done the WUSTL or wearing the wrong pair of Allen Edmonds. Despite not being a prestigious lawyer he took on all their opinions on things. It was pretty funny in practice. This random guy would call people out in real life for not following XO consensus on things. He pretty much thought everything said here was 100% real and set in stone. |

He was always talking about some rich uncle he had in the middle east who had set aside money for them. He told me he somehow obtained access to this account and he went out and bought an $80,000 dark green Audi (A8?) from the dealership in cash. He came back home and his dad was livid.
His parents were incredibly pissed at him for spending the money and although they couldn't return it his dad vowed to resell it to recoup as much of the loss as possible. I admonished him for this purchase and said it was dumb to buy something you could never afford. He was somewhat delusional and didn't understand why people were pissed. I have met his father who has an engineering degree and lived in Germany before moving to the United States. His dad was in his 50s when he was born. He had fled Saddam Hussain in the 70s. He often claimed that his grandfather had been killed fighting the British on horseback in WWI but this was unsubstantiated.
Otherwise he drove a white Chevy Cruze. He got into a lot of accidents and the car had a ton of damage because he would drive around on LSD and crash all the time. I told him it was really dumb to buy the Audi with someone else's money. I couldn't get through to him. I think he was having trouble with reality at that point. |
