Just group colleges into conferences geographically and that's their regular season with some playoff at the end. Division 1-B: 36 teams, 3 conferences (East, Central, West, 12 in each), top team in each conference gets promoted to 1-A, bottom 2 in each get relegated.
Division 1-C: 72 teams, 6 conferences (Northeast, Southeast, North, South, Northwest, Southwest), top team in each conference gets promoted to 1-B. |

ND already has signed agreements to play Clemson, Indiana, Alabama, Michigan, Auburn, Texas and Florida in the next 6 years. Also are close to a 2 year extension with USC. That’s not including the Miami, FSU games and the other slop from the ACC deal.
A big part of the beef between ND/ACC is that ND/Clemson went around ACCs back to sign the recurring home and home and ACC was irate. ND and FSU were working on a similar thing but it’s on hold now after FSUs poor performance. |
