I wouldn’t say there is one best resort. They are all different and yet all the same. And even if you have a perfect experience they are constantly under new ownership, staff changes, whatever. Shop around on Expedia within whatever your budget is and look for deals. I’ll say Hard Rock has been very consistently good across multiple trips and properties. The Riviera Maya location specifically. They have gotten pretty expensive lately. Live Aqua is good, as are most Secrets, and Zillara too. Platinum Yucatán Princess is a great value but not on the same level. Breathless sucked.
