it's funny to see his arrogant, superficially researched, and incorrect takes pop up in other arenas. once i got him to admit that there is no conceivable evidence that would cause him to abandon his conspiracy theory. i pointed out that this is definitionally irrational and diametrically opposed to the type of radical self-reflection individuation requires. he got really pissy and started on his "time waster" forcememe after that.

reminds me of when i interned at the CATO institute (lol). there was this uber annoying fucking geek who acted like he was smarter than everyone and one of the "scholars" there was having a talk with us and this kid started talking about economic theory and i forget what exactly he said but he used the term "normative" and the guy cut him off and said "yeah, i don't do terms like that. it makes you sound stupid" and moved on.
