ok i read wht happened, so basically it seems the turd really did buy a .23 caliber gun shortly before the murder but they are now arguing some evidence said the wound was actually too small to be by that caliber
thats it
just the fact he bought a gun right before the murder, assuming thats true, is enough to convict this turd in my book. he has to go back

ok the thing i dont get is why was a .25 caliber shell casing found under det birdshits body. the withheld FBI report claimed his bullet wound was slightly too small for a .25 caliber so then which is correct? if they actually found the shell casing that seems better evidence than teh FBI shit (im assuming measuring wounds isnt exact science?)

December 1980
Thomas Kinser, a 19-year-old Penn State student, disappears after a night out with Vedam and others. They had been involved in a scheme to steal and sell a synthetic ruby from a jewelry store (Kinser's idea, per witnesses). Vedam was the last person known to see Kinser alive. No immediate murder investigation; Kinser's family assumes he ran away.
September 19, 1981
Kinser's decomposed body is found in a sinkhole at Bear Meadows (Harris Township, near State College, PA). Cause of death: single gunshot wound to the head. A .25-caliber shell casing is found under the remains. No murder weapon is ever recovered. The bullet hole in Kinser's skull is later measured (via withheld FBI report) as too small (~0.22 inches) for a .25-caliber bullet, suggesting a .22-caliber weapon instead.
1982
Vedam arrested for murder at age 20. Prosecutors theorize he killed Kinser over a dispute about the ruby theft proceeds (motive: unproven and weak; no witnesses to the killing). Held without bail (later ruled illegal).
February 1983
First trial: Convicted of first-degree murder by an all-white jury. Key evidence:
- Testimony from a local teenager claiming he sold Vedam a .25-caliber handgun from an antique shop before Kinser's disappearance (unconfirmed by others).
- A .25-caliber shell casing at the scene.
No physical evidence linking Vedam to the body or weapon; no motive proven. Sentenced to life without parole.
