Is an inter-party ticket even allowed?
They're some of the only honest, brave people in Congress. They're anti-war and they're the ones who got the Epstein files released (well, the half of them that have been released).

The one thing I'm watching for in 2026 is if there's any signs of what the future might hold for the GOP. Trump tipped the party towards neoconservatism and away from populism. The populist base is acting all outraged. But what will happen at the polls? Does it matter or is it a nothingburger. I think 90% of the shouting in the media is moot. It's much ado about nothing.
For example Cornyn vs Paxton coming up will be interesting. GOPe vs MAGA in a state where MAGA has done very well. But obviously Paxton has a lot of personal baggage, Cornyn has the incumbent advantage. It wouldn't surprise me if Cornyn hangs on and goes on to keep his Senate seat.
For all the bluster of Tucker-Fuentes populist uprising, Make America 1933 Again, we have yet to see any of this materialize at the polls, which is where it actually matters. It's too hard to predict post Trump but my guess is that GOP is not going to go all in on a true populist shift. That may change if Democrats are leading by a wide margin. But I assume it will be Vance and a pivot to the center and away from populism. No one wants to hear it but read the tea leaves...

It's not even about a move toward real, true populism. It's a move away from populist enthusiasm for many of the reasons you've articulated. I think Gavin wins narrowly against GOPe (for bog standard historical reasons), but GOPe now IS Rubio and Vance. That's done now. Cornyn, Paxton, that's much more about incumbent vs. non-incumbent than GOPe vs. MAGA insurgent. They're both GOPe. In 2026, anyone in the Trump coalition is GOPe. The Biden hiatus is the only reason that wasn't still true in 2022. 2024, and Trump being shot, made him seem like he was still an outsider. That energy is fading fast.
If we are still in a war in 2027, the true pivot point issue will be "wars for Israel." I think the dynamics will shape up whereby the candidate who can say "no more wars for Israel" with a straight face who doesn't make most people physically cringe will win. I think that will more likely be a dark horse GOP candidate who will be able to position himself or herself as an outsider, just like 2015 Trump.

Just picture the median Dem voter. They're typically boomer neolibs. In other words they're a lot like your (and my) parents. They're not that radically progressive and for a massive amount of change. Most boomer libs are pro Isreal. They might not like the war in Iran but they don't think it's that bad for the economy. Boomer libs mostly live in wealthy suburban enclaves where nothing bad ever happens and they want to keep it that way. A lot of them are DINOs who want to maintain their wealth and status, not give it away. Most get pissed off when their taxes go up.
At the end of the day, the average Democrat voter is not that different from their Republican counterpart. They mostly don't like Trump due to optics. They would rather the President be Black or Brown and a woman and pay constant lip service to diversity equity and inclusion. They want a President who reflects their views on the surface, on the most surface of surface issues. To the average Dem their top priority is what they view as dignity and respect for their social values. They want Hollywood in the White House. They want George Clooney to be hanging out in the Oval Office. That's what gives libtards a bang. I am not saying this to be mean because the average Republican voter is the same way, they mostly care about stunts like DeSantis sending illegals to Martha's Vineyard. Politics unironically dominated by shitboomers who come in one of two flavors, red or blue. It's all about their feelings at the end of the day. It's about validating their inner worlds. They want the President to be an actor acting out their feelings on a stage that they watch from home on cable news. These are the people who empower the people who run the country. Old people who watch TV every night.
Now gun to the head do you really think based on recent elections that anyone is actually going to vote for legitimate change? The people who are ready to weather the storm of a sweeping societal rebalancing are few and far between. The system is self perpetuating. It's too big to fail. All you have at the end of the day is a choice of blue raspberry or strawberry. Voters put the sucker in their mouths because it makes them feel good. But other than that Nothing Ever Happens.

Dude what? My parents are anti-war hippies, where TF did you get the idea that they're neolibs like your bloodthirsty dad? Just bc my mom has such a big heart that she falls into identity politics traps sometimes? They've never supported a war in their lives. My mom is charitable, not a wealth hoarder, and my dad is a card-carrying socialist who not only voted for Bernie in the 2016 and 2020 primaries but also wrote him in for the 2016 general.
Your second paragraph is incoherent. You realize Ro Khanna IS brown, right?
People haven't voted for "legitimate change" in "recent elections" because no (major-party) candidates who represented actual change have been nominated. Bernie probably would've won if the Dems hadn't pushed him out in the primaries. And people voted for Obama because he lied and said he would change things. Remember that?

My parents were neutral on Israel before the genocide; now they're anti-Israel. Even my mom, who was brainwashed in Synagogue into thinking that Palestine was an empty, barren desert until the Jews came, was never like, actively supportive of Israel. They just... never thought about it. Like most normal Americans before we all found out how thoroughly they've taken over our country.
Yes, they voted for Biden and Kamala because of the "lesser of two evils" thinking; that doesn't make them neolibs. Actually for my dad it was funnier than that... he was gonna vote Green or write in Bernie again in 2024 but he pussied out at the last minute because of "superstition" lol. He was like, "Last time I did that, Trump won, so I couldn't bring myself to do it because I was afraid it'd happen again." WELL GUESS WHAT HAPPENED ANYWAYS DAD?
You know perfectly well that the DNC "superdelegates" gave states to Hillary that Bernie won. You know perfectly well about the sabotage – the hacking, revoking the voters list, all that stuff. You know perfectly well that they manipulated him into dropping out both times when he was winning head-to-heads against Trump in most of the polls. It's absolutely insane for you to suddenly say "wElL mAyBe PeOpLe LiKeD tHeM mOrE" lmfao

Cq. If I weren't a Radical Leftist in a deep blue state (my vote doesn't count, so I vote third-party in the hopes of killing the duopoly), I would consider voting for this ticket. Or even Massie/Khanna.
I disagree with Massie on like 95% of domestic issues. I am in support of a robust social safety net. HOWEVER:
1) He is anti-corruption, and corruption is really the root of everything evil in this country.
2) If he makes progress divesting from war and foreign intervention, there will be more of an argument for us to put money into things that actually help people.
3) The government is so bloated and bad at taking care of its people as it is that I don't disagree in principle with a well-run "small government."
