I can watch 1-2 movies per day. Too many games take 40+ hours to clear. I could watch 20 movies in that time and feel a real sense of accomplishment. I watch foreign films at 2x speed since i'm just reading subtitles anyway so I can watch a 2 hour film in an hour. I work in film too so my wife doesnt see it as losery like gaming. Gaming is done here.

Date: October 28th, 2025 2:35 PM Author: lex i'm starting to think retrofags have the better attitude towards gaming, if you adjust for whatever post-32 bit era you liked the moast. don't try to keep up, you're over 30. just play what you like and find enjoyable as often or as rarely as you want with no pressure. i'm not going to learn anything new or have a cutting edge media experienthce playing bloodborne again for the 5th-20th time, but i'll enjoy popping it on and running around levels for an hour in a popcornish way. it's definitely better than rewatching movies imo.
