People I know criticizing me for playing video games (36 M)

Date: August 11th, 2025 1:51 PM Author: oyt tp I’m a 36 year-old male and still playing video games. I am getting a bit older so I can really only play for four hours before my eyes start to hurt. And I start to get tired. But of course people I know and people I work with often criticize me for playing video games. “You’re too old to play video games.” “how do you have time to play video games.“ I just shrug it off and say that’s how I enjoy spending my time. For example, my friend who is a bit older than me is the biggest critic when it comes to me playing video games. Yet he’s watched four seasons of a show in two weeks. That means he’s watching almost 4 hours worth of this show a day practically. So I pose the question to him “what’s the difference between me playing video games for four hours and you watching a show for four hours straight?” And he got all flustered and said well you know video games for her kids, blah blah blah. In the end, I’m not gonna stop playing video games but it’s still mildly infuriating That video games have this stigma, especially when it comes to dating.
