It was kind of funny that these Norwegians grew up in small towns in Norway then somehow made their way to the US to play basketball at the University of Nevada or whatever.
The Norwegians themselves were all chill, fratty, good guys. But, it still felt a little wrong to me, like they were taking opportunities from young US athletes, especially when it wasn't big money sports at big money programs. Like, of course Alabama football and Kentucky basketball will recruit whoever will give the best chance of winning. Doesn't the Western Kentucky track team owe something to the high school runners in the state and nation? They should recruit there first. |
