Inventions Rolled Out To The General Public That Are As Unfinished As AI?

Date: May 18th, 2026 4:28 PM Author: ...,,..;...,,..,..,...,,,;.., yes AI is going to kill our jerbs eventually, but has there ever been a tech that was rolled out to the general public in such a shitty and unfinished form? i get that's kind of the point, but in 10 years people will be laughing about how we're dinosaurs who wrote briefs using some shitty AI from the mid-2020s that hallucinated law cases.
i cant think of any other tech that was this undeveloped when it was rolled out. |

Apple quite seriously got the rep it did in the early 00s just because their shit Basically Worked, whereas Windows theoretically "had" all the same shit your computer today has -- videoconferencing, streaming, autoconnecting high-speed wireless, etc. -- it just worked like 8% of the time. |
