For example, I probably wouldn't have understood anything by Tolkien if I read it as a teenager (there's a good chance I would have accidentally taken the hippie interpretations seriously, LJL), so I'm glad that life delayed my introduction to his books until my 20s. |

Lewis, Tolkien, Chesterton, et al. predicted - I didn't fully appreciate something like Redwall until I got older, illuminating the eternal relevance of quotes like Tolkien's:
