my parents have an older one that is just about the same size, terrible idea for boomers or anyone, you have to haul a car behind just to make it possible to do anything when you get somewhere and that point you need to be capable of driving a semi and the whole process is a huge pain in the ass, it is also impossible to reverse, I'd much rather have something smaller

it seems like something someone worth 250mm liquid would buy but then two weeks later hed go outside with an electric screwdriver and take the plates off, then remove the vin number somehow, then burn it while he rolls it into a lake. then hed call an uber home.

had a neighbor that bought one very much like this, it was pushing a half million I believe, he ended up having to have it hauled across the country back to the factory to have all sorts of electrical issues worked out and after having built an entire building just to house it sold the thing after like a year and a half

you have to schedule your campsites very carefully and reservations are very hard to get at the good parks, but you can get a KOA membership and find places all over that will fit it, but again, you have to be able to back that sucker in some tight spaces

if, as most boomers do, you simply use it once then park it for ten years it isn't that bad, but if you want to use it then yes, and you'll need a pretty special shop nearby to deal with all of the bullshit that will need fixing and a good roadside service provider, just a flat tire on that thing is a disaster that will cost you thousands

These make sense for traveling musicians, but are comically stupid for anyone else.

It's great if you want to "travel" the country in a vehicle that's too big to actually go anywhere where you can see anything.

It's great to "camp" in if yu want to be totally disconnected from nature.

I can see where those Mercedes Benz vans are the new toys because at least you can sort of drive them normal-ish places.

for a couple the vans are still too small and they don't have real shitters, you can get an 18 foot trailer that weighs nothing, has a full kitchen and full sized fridge and an actual shower and toilet in it for a small fraction of the price and tow it with any vehicle you want

Seems the Mercedes logo on a van is like a "rob me" sign. If I'm going to be sleeping in a van I want something low-key on the outside and very nice on the inside.

They park in camp and have a fiat they tow around so they just use that to go into town. They let the ac in the motor home run while they are gone so it doesn’t get too hot when they return.

When Christopher Spinelli isn't raping asian children he's usually whining about his "stupid nigger clients" on AutoAdmit.
