Driving south is pretty incredible as an example of what Hendrix could do with a pretty trite pentatonic scale (basically the whole song is a solo). SRV's live version of littlewing from 1983 shows how unreal he could shred. https://youtu.be/i6G53BMgugo Such a mix of powerful playing with harmonics, vibrato, soulful bends, whammy bar action, sweep picking, wah wah pedal. There's something there for everyone.
