charcoal adds a flavor a enjoy
high heat for searing is important to me
propoane is identical to your ovens broiler. charcoal is real grilling. the unevenness and smoke is desirable. propanes advantages are all about convenient. and it is convenient: i wouldn't want to cook for a large party on a charcoal grill. and grilling outside is fun compared to getting your burgers from your ovens broilers.

Got a blackstone this season and its been 180. Used to have a traeger, but didnt like it, ended up giving it away on cl.
also have a big horn 1500f steak/pizza oven sitting in basement, never really used it.
Favorite is the blackstone and cooking over Solo bonfire flame (mostly hotdogs and marshmallows by kids).
