Grew up hunting deer with a thirty aught. Modern rounds have surpassed it ballistically but it's a perfectly serviceable large game option.

When I was 16 I shot a squirrel with a .22lr and didn't kill it. Instead it fell off a tree and into a river where it tried to paddle, but it looked like its hind legs were paralyzed and I assume it drowned. I felt awful and I still don't know why I did it except to prove I could do it. I haven't shot another animal since then because I still feel so bad about it

I don’t think it’s a Mauser brand. Just a Mauser style bolt action which is Scumbag speak for not being an Enfield or whatever other shit was made back in the day

Also it looks like a plastic stock to me which means it’s not from the 20th century in all likelihood https://nypost.com/2025/09/11/us-news/gun-charlie-kirk-shot-with-revealed/

I was always under the impression that Mauser style rifles basically us welded to their k98 design and they have been utilizing the basic bolt-action design since the Kaiser, just improving metals and stocks, and that they only use 8 MM (like a lot of axis power rifles) But I'm not a gun guy so I don't know what I'm taking about.

they have all sorts of fun caliber conversions on guns from that era

i had the pleasure of shooting a PPSh rechambered to 9mm once and i've seen about half a dozen M1 conversions at gun shows over the years. you can get kits to do it yourself on gunbroker, it's not that hard

if you assume a direct hit from the front, 30.06 should have created a giant exit wound spraying blood all over the white tent behind him

his lil plate armor could have been rigged to fire a projectile up into his head through the neck, kooky as that would be there's no good explanation for his shirt to pop like its expelling air from within (and no its not air turbulence from without)

I'm willing to believe a gay furry killed Kirk with his grandpappy's .30-06 which he carried (disassembled) in that small backpack, but maybe it's absolutely Mossad's MO to kill someone with a device that's meant for their protection.

bullet holes in deer vary quite a bit, especially exit wounds

some depends on the bullet, some depends on the caliber, some depends on the location of the exit wound, some depends on what internally was hit, some depends on the distance

a clean neck shot may not have had much bullet expansion at all. if it actually hit a metal plate on a vest, well then who knows what would happen, but i guess we all do

the idea that mossad planted some explosive device and expected everyone at the scene to play along is fucking retarded

4chan autists think he was shot with a .22 round from a camera behind him and what we saw was an exit wound. The fuckers next to Kirk giving weird hand gestures were coordinating the "sniper" (what was heard) with whoever pulled the trigger on the actual murder weapon
