Date: September 1st, 2025 11:10 PM Author: preventive strike He signed up to be in charge of setting everything up this year for the church Labor Day BBQ. I get there early and help him. We are drinking beer but he is slamming them. This is at 9am.
When everyone gets there the pastor has my buddy “say a few words of welcome” bc he set the whole thing up, and put him on the spot. He gets the mic and isn’t sure whether to say a prayer or what, which is the pastors fault because he didn’t give any direction.
So he starts this quasi prayer that’slike “thank you everyone for coming today, let us thank the lord and ask him to fill our hearts and stomachs,” and then he goes, “please protect us from sin, and evils, and criminals, and blacks.” People audibly gasped lol.
Then he continues by talking about keeping us from temptation and starts talking about “porno” and says “we’ve all seen it.” It was extremely weird. His wife took him home shortly after he handed the mic back.
This actually happened btw. How was everyone else’s Labor Day |
