i dont remember anything in ap euro about this. nobody talks about it. and i suppose most fairly educated people who arent MFEs dont have a clue about it.
recently started learning about the lead up to the unification an aftermath. interesting stuff.
europe was such a clusterfuck in the 1800s that led to ww1.

hmm, who is garibaldi compared to? ive barely even heard of him. 99.9% of americans probably think he's a chocolate company.
ive been to rome a couple times and know the big victor emanual monument and knew he was some modern italian ruler, but had literally no idea who the fuck he is.
the papal states are interesting to me. i dont undersand how they developed from the renaissance era.
