Date: August 4th, 2026 9:18 AM Author: Vengeful range Has to be kind of weird becoming rich and famous right as you hit old age. He was a moderately successful writer/author but once the HBO show came, it took his life to a new level, probably just as his real physical decline began.
It’s a dark blog post by him. He’s saying he’s depressed, his friends are dying and he fears/knows the worst is only left to come and it’s coming soon. |

Serialized television is practically the contemporary novel and in many ways a superior form imho. Most “writers” today are hacks who use utilitarian prose and telegraphic sentences so they can either get specced for a Netflix deal or find a niche in the airport fiction ghetto. GRRM has not laid down a single Written Word for this book, and the show’s ending was HIS ending. Everyone hated it and now there’s no point in him following through with the books.
