There are 5 major fortress cities in the Donbas that Ukraine controls - Russia didn't get a single one of them. LOL at anyone thinking Russia is winning this war.

One thing that convinced Trump to move down this path was the July 3 phone call in which Putin made clear he planned to escalate the war.
