My wife drives me nuts. She wants to have family photos taken.

She found some "photographer" on Facebook or something and this crazy lady wants us to pack up our kids, drive 40 minutes to some park, stand around in the 90 degree weather squinting into the direct sunlight for the shoot. My wife wants everyone in heavy fall clothes.
I just told her. Look, everyone's face is going to be red and we are going to be sweating profusely. Our hair will be wet and the pictures will look like shit if we do this today.
Now my wife is crying. She says, "I can't do anything right."
Oh brother. Am I the only one that thinks about the optics?

Why do you need to spend money on a third-party "photographer" when you already own multiple expensive, high-end cameras?
Do a family thing and plan out your own pictures together and do it yourselves.
