Anyone with any talent - and genetically many of these rural rice-picking blacks are direct descendants of slaves - is immediately lionized in the village, and nationally. They are taken from their homes and sent to live in a baseball academy around age 12, where they play and are coached for around 10 hrs a day.
a mlb team can then sign them for like 50k, own them as prospects, and that is more money than anyone in the village has ever seen, ever. |
