Date: May 6th, 2026 6:55 AM Author: .,.,.;;,;.,;:,:,,:,.,:,::,..;.,:,.:;.:.,;.:.,:.::, it's better 2 think about liquidity dynamics than things being "priced in." the initial downward movement created short positions that squeezed in the other direction when the market decided that the risk in this war was nbd. so we've overcorrected because there was asymmetric upward momentum after the initial move down. but markets probably assume that the the war is going to last and if it actually ends sooner rather than later it is going to be an absolute risk-on bonanza, the remaining bear positions will get wiped out over like two days and we will be up another 10-15% in a week.
if the war extends there's real downside potential because of energy prices but the possibility of that is still keeping markets lower than they might otherwise go. so we can go down bigly if the war really does extend and the momentum trade peters out, but also could go up bigly if the downside risk is erased overnight. |
