Redistricting is the only thing keeping Texas from turning blue, and if Texas turned blue the country would result in supermajority permanent Democrat rule for the rest of our lives

interesting how they decided using supercomputer analysis not to go down that route, to skinsuit the Orange Retard instead. Wonder what the deciding factor(s) were

Kamala was a historically unpopular candidate. Look at Hispanic voting patterns in 2020 and 2016.

Without the 2020 redistricting, and based on the results of the 2024 elections, Texas would have an estimated 25-13 Republican majority in its congressional delegation, rather than the current 30-8 Republican majority achieved with the new maps. The overall number of seats, 38, would remain the same as this was determined by post-2020 Census reapportionment based on population growth.
The key difference without the redistricting is that five currently Republican-held seats would likely be Democratic. The mid-decade redistricting plan enacted in late 2025 specifically targeted Democratic incumbents in the Austin, Dallas, Houston metro areas, and South Texas, effectively flipping those districts to favor Republicans.
  In a scenario without redistricting:
The overall partisan split would be closer to 25 Republican seats and 13 Democratic seats.
Specific districts in urban and suburban areas, which have been growing and leaning Democratic, would likely maintain or increase their Democratic representation.
The current map is considered a significant Republican gerrymander, pushing their advantage to a 30-8 split, and without this intervention, the delegation would be more reflective of a competitive partisan divide in the state.

no shit retard but was it gerrymandered like the congressional maps? no, it's almost identical. state districts are redistricted constantly because of a states population movement. a FEDERAL redistricting occurs when a state is gains or loses FEDERAL reps.

you're talking about the FEDERAL redistricting which has no impact on STATE voting laws.

  your sophistry is incredible.

The funny thing that most people don't know about is that the Texas Speaker of the House is typically a nominal Republican who is essentially chosen by the Democrats. This is because within the TXGOP there are more Thoughtful Moderate RINOs than based MAGA (before many were purged in the last election). A lot of the Texas House Republicans come from moderate purple districts like the suburbs of Dallas. They are able to band together and form a coalition with the Texas House Dems to get a Speaker through.

The irony is that in the Texas Senate the opposite is true. Texas Senate districts are larger than Congressional districts. The TX Senate is substantially more conservative than the TX House.

When you look at the three statewide offices, Gov, Lt Gov, and AG, as well as the Presidential results it stands to reason that the larger the districts, up to and including statewide races, are far more conservative than at the smaller district level. In other words Texas writ large is extremely conservative. Only some random faggy local district has blue or purple views. With redistricting if you put all the loons in one basket, the remainder of the state is as right wing as it gets.

Now factor that 40% of the state is Latino. This would all be impossible if Tejanos weren't conservative themselves. Dems think their pets are all alike but in reality Latinos who farm and are in the military are not blue pilled at all. Hth.

this faggot is just going to keep prevaricating. the fact that texas is turning REDDER in terms of presidential elections (statewide popular vote) obviously means redistricting has nothing to to with "keeping texas blue."

the only scenario it does is one where republicans have a declining share of the popular vote, but in that scenario (where people who flipped are going back to blue), the current redistricting will actually magnify democrat gains once a certain tipping point is reached becaise it made some safe R seats less safe to pick up more seats overall.

"Consuela" really does not understand any of this even on the most basic surface level.

Texas turning blue on presidential elections = permanent Democrat control of the federal government forever, and they would entrench their control, never letting it go.
