Pipe wrenches are a major plot device, as the cause of the blowout and how Willie injured his hand. In both cases the crews seem to have about 18” wrenches, which are laughably small for what they are working on. And, wouldn’t they specifically have berryllium wrenches and hammers for just this reason? Maybe one of our O&G posters can tell if that’s a bridge too far. |
