32 majors played before this USO
11 / 32 majors - lost in 1st or 2nd round
28 / 32 majors - didn't make it past 4th round
Other 4 times - WON ALL 4 MAJORS

yesterday was the first time she didnt win the tourney after getting past the 4th round
and yes, it's unprecedented. if she played more she'd regress to the mean. it's an oddity because she's played so little and took several years off.

Yes that's why I didn't include this USO
It would be even crazier statistically if she won the whole thing again

this year's USO proves my point. a larger sample size would do away with this oddity. it's an oddity bc she played do few slams

Regarding your edit I have no idea what you're saying
Would she have 8 majors if she played twice as long?
What other players lost 1/3 of majors in r1 or r2 or lost 88% of MAJORS before the quarters and even won 1 tournament (not even a MAJOR)

i'm saying if she played twice as long she'd accumulate a bunch more slam QF, SF and F losses -- even if she wins more

sabalenka and iga have been pretty stable top players, which is unusual in womens tennis post-bbc serena
