My company keeps bugging me to do so but I like it where I am. Tough to picture leaving. That said, more English might be nice and probably could get them cough up a decent raise. Thoughts? I’m thinking maybe I’d just cop a small flat there and maintain my real residence / family where I am, travel between the two a lot.

Would you have to work in City of London? Cuz that place is miserable. I’m talking about the little deregulated zone in the center of London where wagecucks shuffle like zombies to grey towers that house fake companies and scam finance operations.

A few days a week I probably would. The wouldn’t really care. I’m senior enough that no one questions me anyway. It’s just to support bullshit optics. But I couldn’t just be totally not present.

Dude everyone with a real job works in the City of London. It's the financial capital of Europe. It's not even a question.

I wouldn’t do this unless my kids could come and have it be more of a family adventure than a permanent disruption of their lives.

It's a great place to live.

You'll have a nice flat near Shoreditch, Islington, London Fields or Victoria Park. Hardly any commute. Green space and canals all around. Fantastic transport links. I can get from my flat in East London to Heathrow and through security in less than an hour. Winters are cold, Spring and Summer more than make up for it. Head to Spain in October/November, then another warm break in February.
