I called the admissions office and was told that it could be anytime between now and next week, and that they are releasing decisions on a rolling basis and not hearing from them yet is not indicative of whether or not you are accepted or rejected.
I'm just so tired of waiting that I think when I get the notification I won't be all that excited anymore. |

Date: March 13th, 2008 11:08 AM Author: Kink-friendly skinny woman macaca There's no real way of figuring it out. I remember that when I got my admittance letter, that it arrived on a Monday morning in my e-mail, yet there had been nothing in my mailbox on Sunday.
It must have been automated to go out at a certain time.
Once they put together a waiting list, they will gradually admit people from that list as spaces open up.
I do recall there being people on this board in the past who were still on the waiting list in the summer.
If that's the case, it's safe to say that the only way a space would become available would be if someone dropped out of the program who had already committed to it.
There's no exact time, but my educated guess is that most people are admitted off the waiting list by May 31. |

I applied to SIPA but haven't received a letter at all that says "you've been waitlisted," or "you've been rejected" or "you've been accepted." When SIPA waitlists people, does it notify them? Did people here, who are still waiting, receive "you've been waitlisted" e-mails?

SIPA will let you know once they've made a decision. I received a letter stating that I've been waitlisted, and that final wait list decisions will be made in early May (once they know how many people accepted their admissions letter).
I have a friend who still hasn't heard from them as well. He called the office yesterday, and they said they won't issue all of their decisions until the end of the month.
