I'm just starting out looking at MBA schools so forgive me in advance.

2:1 (3.4 GPA) from Top 10 university in UK at undergrad - BA in economics and finance.

Law school in UK followed by 2 years of training at a US firm in London. Qualified and moved out to Dubai where I've been for the past two years doing corporate/commercial work for a US law firm.

Have realised (and actually realised when I was still training) that I want to do the strategy of business rather than the mechanical implementation of shit that I do now as a lawyer.

Questions:

1. Is it imperative to take the GMAT/GRE to get into all decent schools?

2. What score would I need to get to have a decent shot at Top 10/20 schools with the above stats?

Ty.

1. absolutely

2. 9 or so on the first set, maybe 8 if you can hold you're own on the 2nd. i'd seriously consider paginating the spreadsheets in a landscape 4:3 aspect ratio. whatever you are comfortable with.

cheers!

For strategy I wouldn't go anywhere except Harvard. Sound's like you have great work experience, 3.4 is low but that was a long time ago. Shoot for above 700, you might scrape by with 680 and nailing the essays
