I am a US citizen and am thinking of getting a foreign MBA (cheaper, more fun, etc.) It's from a respectable school, but will it be seen as competitive in the US market to potential employers? Or will I f*ck myself by doing this and my resume will be passed over for someone with a US MBA?
I'm considering an MBA in Germany's Stat Universitet, Israel's Tel Aviv University, or Mexico's IPADE Business School.
What does AutoAdmit think? Should I stick to US programs?

Uh, well those are uber-TTT programs that you are considering. I thought you were going to list INSEAD, LBS, IMD, IESE, ESADE, HEC, IE, etc. If you want to live in Mexico, just move there, but why the hell would you get an MBA there? Germany only introduced the MBA recently, and it's not even respected there, let alone internationally. If you got a 450 on your GMAT, then these are pretty solid choices.

Good point, but these schools are offering me substantial scholarships. Being already 100k in debt for a JD, I'm not at a point at life where I can just say what's 30k more?
Plus, networking is important and I can use my legal network to help land a job. In my opinion, too many ppl focus on the school rankings.
STILL - question stands: Do foreign MBAs get discriminated against in the US market? Your insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Depends what you mean by discrimination. If it's INSEAD/LBS vs. a US TTT, then the former will likely get the job, if it's some Mexican TTT vs. Columbia, then the latter will get the job. Networking is important, and one of the main aspects of an MBA is the alumni network. WTF kind of a network are you going to gain by doing a German MBA? If money is an issue, then rape the GMAT and get a full ride somewhere in the US. Plenty of good schools like Haas and Ross give out full rides, and I am not even talking about places further down like Emory, Tepper, Kelley, etc., all of which are leagues above the schools you listed. You will waste time and money (in terms of opportunity cost and living expenses) by going to those TTT MBAs.
