I needed something to keep my busy so I picked up Bioshock for my 360 last week. I have been playing it non-stop since. I can't believe how good this game is. I literally get freaked out playing it with the lights out.
Anyway, I just want to thank all of you for recommending this game. Honestly, I will now come to autoadmit for all my gaming needs.

Cravath's deferral package for the class of 2009 is beyond generous dood--it's pure bliss.
Also, I have spoken to some friends who started on time and they say the firm is slammed with work right now.

In light of this, I have a related question. I'm a 2L who will be summering at two particularly healthy firms in 2010. Should I buy a flat-screen TV, Xbox 360, and this stellar video game, instead of trying to keep my grades up for... I don't know... a clerkship opportunity? It seems like Bioshock would be more exciting.
tyia.

This is terrible advice in any economy, and it's even worse ITE. First, you will have plenty of time to play video games during (1) xmas breaks, (2) the time after your 2L summer and before 3L year starts, (3) the summer when you're studying for the bar, and (4) after you take the bar. So you don't need to do it now. Second, a COA clerkship (and the great grades that are needed to get one) opens a lot of doors, especially the doors that you will be looking at after 2-3 years of biglaw (AUSA, in house jobs, etc.). And, finally, even V10 firms are not immune to the recession. In sum, don't be an idiot.

This makes me laugh... because you're not pursuing other interests or living in another country.
How unhealthy and fucking stupid you must be.

You sound like a fucking boss, The Dude.
Keep up the good "work".
You only live one life--make it count for something. At least until you start actually working.
BTW, what LS did you attend?
And what was class rank?

Yes, I am being paid by the think tank. But not that much, as they know that I'm being paid by Cravath.
I am able to save every penny Cravath is giving me and am using the salary from the think tank to cover my immediate expenses (e.g., rent, cable, new xbox games, weed, etc...).
About to spark up a joint and would be happy to take questions.
