in the packet career services handed out there was actually a leaflet one could fill out and leave with the people in the table to order your own business card. it had the logo of the school, your name and then the year they would expect to graduate ( Ie Tomas TTT. Stttriver Jd '11)
my school is a T20.

I actually once asked a recruiting person about it at a recruiting event. She made it sound like they get personal business cards attached to resumes mailed in not infrequently. I think it is common enough that it is only a mild turn off for them. |

JD candidates don't usually come to these big networking conferences. But, there may be some occasions, like the big yearly conference they have for ABA tax, where you are going to be selling yourself as someone who is graduating at X top school with a focus on tax law, and you'll definitely want to give them something so they'll contact you if they have the need.
If you do any in-person networking whatsoever at events, there will be some awkwardness if everyone has a card but you. Keep that in mind at least. It should be basic. Name, email, phone number, JD candidate and school, and emphasis if you are pursuing one. |
