Depends. Actual soda water should be zero calories. Tonic water on the other hand, can have carbs. You need to get diet tonic water to be sure.
WHISKEY is the credited low carb drink. It actually has interesting flavors, and ZERO carbs.

It is not empty sugar calories.
There are four macronutrients: Protein, Fat, Carbs, and Alcohol.
On a low carb diet, 1-2 pure alcohol drink won't effect much. It temporarily throws you out of ketosis while your liver metabolizes the alcohol. So for a short time, you aren't burning fat.
