2. The work isn't that hard, u won't see any dropout genius kids like u do in hedge funds. It's not just about making money, its about white-shoe PRESTIGE. Good private schools, academies, top ugrads, mba at harvard/wharton, etc. By taking only the BEST out of the most prestigious job out of ugrad, ur already pretty much the most prestigious industry already. No faggot ass ohio state kids who went to med skool and became a shit doctor. We're talking billions of dollars buying billions of assets and only being from a strict bro club of ibankers.
3. Hiring ONLY investment bankers or MBB, arguably the most prestigious job out of undergrad you can get besides something crazy like starting facebook (and that only comes once a decade). Unlike all the loser vc/hfs that hire ppl from random backgrounds.
4. Most of the business at the high level is all about wining and dining (and being wined/dined) by sellside and shooting the shit with CEOs and the nation's movers and shakers. In fact, you are literally SHAPING America. |
