BTW, to those suggesting used luxury cars, the yearly total cost of ownership is not much lower than new due to maintenance, repairs, etc.

Used luxury cars only really cheaper on average if you are willing to not fix problems (window won't roll down, electric seat broken, etc.).

Used civic, of course, makes more sense because there is much less to go wrong and repairs are cheap.

I bought a used 5-series once and it was min $3k/yr in maintenance, and there was some fluid leak in the activestabilizer bar or some shit that I never fixed because it would cost too much. Felt like a sucker. Never again.
