XYZ Holdings, LLC owns an apartment complex. Call it "Happy Cactus Apartments."
For some batshit stupid reason, crazy plaintiff thinks his LLC owns them.
We file a motion to dismiss.
In response, he secures a state trade name certificate for "Apartments Cactus Happy" -- not even the same fucking name as the complex -- and says that constitutes evidence of his ownership.

They stopped paying assessments? If you rep a bank they probably just want a loan mod, wont qualify, and your client will just pay them 5k to leave. If you rep the association and arent title counsel, and this is about assessments and them proactively fighting an HOA foreclosure you are golden because your association client is almost definitely too stupid to settle and you can milk the file for $30-50k. No bank or title co would let you run the bill that high. HOA's are the BEST clients. The fuckers paid for my Maserati.
You get to put like zero effort into you opposition papers with pro-se crackpots. It feels like a waste of your time only until the check clears. The only real problem is some of these people are legitimately dangerous.... |
