Eulogy for a JJC

And I think it is important for us to sit back and reflect upon everything this man has done in his tenure as a poaster to enrich/stupefy our lives and the lives of poasters to come.
I don’t know him very well, but what I do know is that his obsession with money and prestige has driven him towards the brink of a nervous breakdown, and I have an unfounded suspicion that he is schizophrenic. I don’t know if he’s a reformed PUA tard or not. That may have all been flame, but I doubt it. And even if he didn’t write that “dancing monkey” quote, I think we can all agree that he has been one of XO’s most prolific dancing monkeys.
His poasts have uniformly been boring and uninformative, and he is easily the biggest philistine I’ve ever met. He has never intentionally offered a single insight into anything. He never participates in threads that aren’t about a major city or money or women or being Asian. The narrowness of his knowledge and experience has at many points left me envious, and have made me ponder whether or not the best life one can live on this floating rock is to be dumb as fuck about everything except making a middle-class living. That, as cliché as it sounds, ignorance is bliss so long as you fill up just enough of the intelligence tank to be useful as a decently-paid pawn in some company. But I’m not envious of JJC himself, just an idea of a person that JJC elicits. Like a taller, whiter, more charming version of JJC, because, holy fuckballs would it suck to actually be JJC.
I think I wish him success. Not too much success, because he’d be a monster if he had the means to be one, but also I don’t want to have to see him homeless on a street corner screaming at WGWAGs.
I will welcome him back when he inevitably comes back. This thread is now opened up to others who wish to further commemorate JJC’s career here on XO.
