Date: July 8th, 2015 6:36 PM Author: Multi-colored Haunting Principal's Office Turdskin In February I started wearing an Admiral Ackbar t-shirt to bars in DC. It has a picture of Admiral Ackbar, from Return of the Jedi on it.
Let's just say that this thing is an attention MAGNET. Chicks walk by me every 15 minutes to yell "It's a traaaaaap!" and when they do I tell them some story about why I am wearing the t-shirt, such as -
1. My uncle was a puppeteer who worked on the movie and helped play Admiral Ackbar
2. My dad is an Admiral and I wear the t-shirt to remind him that he's not the best Admiral
3. I wear the t-shirt in honor of my brother, who was killed in a tragic car racing accident
The chicks literally come to me, guys. I have been laid three times since I started wearing this shirt - all of them came up to me unsolicited to comment on the shirt.
Dudes love it too. I was at a bar a few weeks ago and this guy compliments the shirt and challenges me to that basketball hoop arcade game. He is already drunk as fuck at this point so I easily beat him. Then he invites me out to a karaoke party with his bros.
There's like 10 of us in a karaoke booth in Adams Morgan. All guys, so I sang the female parts in falsetto to many cheers. I had like two bowls of food and some drinks - and I left without paying my share of the check. But nobody cared. They were just happy they got to party with THE ADMIRAL. |
