Cafe bustelo is CR but stove top makers are not. Amps up the bitterness.

I use Bustelo for drip coffee. I use a french press for almost any single origin coffees.

I have an espresso maker for espresso, so if you're after espresso's taste and don't have a machine I guess the stovetop is okay (have a bialetti as well but only use it for dessert coffee).

It's cheap, efficient and easy to use but it does not produce the best tasting coffee. It's a cool thing in college or if you are poor but really, really not good for single origin coffees where you want to taste it.

Hario. Love that brand.

Melitta also makes a ceramic drip cone that is good.

If you want to use a pre ground coffee i think you will like Lavazza way more than bustelo. Bustelo was always "off" to me. Just... off.

Both have their merits. There is a distinctive taste. Lavazza is sweeter and creamier. Bustelo is more bitter and darker.
