Barbara Walters: so tell me about these two kooky characters.
Me: Here, you have two guys. (Pause). So different.....So different. You have James, who has it all. He has money. He has social status. He has height. Women. That fratty attitude. You name it. James is the definition of a NYC playboy.
But he's not without his insecurities. He's facially ugly. Growing up, James was unable to see past the fact that height matters most when attracting women. He wanted to be handsome, and although it didn't matter to women, it mattered to him.
Barbara Walters: But why? He was successful with women, why did he want to be handsome.
Me: (chuckle) Well see, that's the beautiful thing. It's a character flaw that we can't explain. James can't explain. But it eats at him. He tries to overcompensate with an attitude that attracts women, but at what expense? The Brunchmen love it. Unfortunately for James, you start to see a change in his girls' attitudes...at first they love it but as the movie progresses they're turned off by it once Roberto comes into the picture.
Barbara Walters: You just mentioned Roberto. All the women out their viewing want you to tell us about Roberto.
Me: (chuckle) OK, OK. I must admit, Roberto is the "model short guy."
Barbara Walters: but is he that short? Is 5'11 THAT short?
Me: well Barbara, you're watching him on screen. You're looking at him on screen. In real life, 5'11 isn't desirable. *adjusts seat and chuckles*
Barbara Walters: (chuckling) OK, OK about Roberto...
Me: So Roberto is this guy who comes into NYC and he's clearly out of place. He's an athlete. He's Puerto Rican.
Barbara Walters: There are no Puerto Ricans in NYC?
Me: Well I'm talking about the Upper East Side.
Barbara Walters: OK, OK carry on...(chuckling)
Me: (two second stare) So Roberto has this great body, great face, he's charming. He's an early 20's guy living a carefree life. But he's short. Roberto's mental flaw is that it doesn't bother him. He seems...unphased that society has deemed him an outcast. Even though he's the shortest guy in One Oak, he's having a good time. At first women are repulsed by his height...
Barbara Walters: oh cmon
Me: It's true Barbara it's not 1993 anymore. Women want tall men.
(Cross talk)
Me: The women look on and become intrigued by this character. Intrigued that he's still having a good time and women gravitated towards him. This only brought insecurities in James, who has a deep mental struggle to understand why women are attracted to this guy. And it only made James more insecure about his facial flaws.
Barbara Walters: well I must say that I'm excited, much like many of the women in the United States are for this movie. A Staten Island Brunch (180) in theatres July 2nd. Must see.

Any of us who didn’t bump this when it first came might’ve ultimately played a part in Johnsmeyer leaving for good.
Not sure if I can ever forgive myself.

Now I understand what you tried to flame
And how you suffered for your insanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
