cr, and it's just the same shit with a slightly different smell every time. On the 250th VC financing or 40th M&A deal, how much can you really care? Same recycled issues list, same recycled provisions, same side letter, etc.
There's that sweet spot when you're a mid-level associate and know enough to be useful and aren't jaded enough to completely mail it in yet.
This spring we were working for a VC client on 3 early-stage deals with the same counsel on the other side representing the 3 companies. It was just lol -- same base docs, same comments, slightly different vesting terms and diligence/clean-up items...just mind-numbing.
