Initiation for younger members is a few $K plus $100-200 spend/month. More at the nicer ones with golf. Jobs there for young people are mostly shit and people still can't afford them. Some (the Jewish one) have closed, and others have gone more semi-private.
They're prohibitively expensive in the Bay Area for the most part, unless you want one of the golf-only ones in the distant burbs (Tri-Valley or far south SJ). There's this one that's aimed at younger people: http://www.sfgate.com/style/article/New-private-S-F-club-the-Battery-4869389.php but I've been once and really have no interest in this sort of thing as a married dude in my 30s whose wife resists this sort of stuff. People just talked about work and other SF circle-jerk things. |
