its hard to do without gear, but CAN be done. you just have to be very precise with actual gains. i'm talking like using the pennies at the gym, etc.

i gave up lifting one point when i got too bulky and started effecting my athleticism. i'm basically a "bar bro" now and have been for about 7 years. pullups, dips, pushups, free squats, etc. but i do grapple 3 times a week so that is enough if i let it be.
