Hi Fernando, this is Bekah's boyfriend, Kurz. She mentioned that you would take the video down if we'd like -- after I had seen it. I'd like for you to keep the video up. I am going to post it (with NSFW warnings and GRAPHIC warnings.) I want people to be aware of the possible dangers of the inner city. Just like you said, this is the shit that goes on in Los Angeles.

In saying that, Baby (the little dog you tried to save/protect) has been put to sleep this morning. She eventually succumbed to sepsis. After $7000 + in vet and hospital bills, and the doctor saying there is basically no chance, we let her go to heaven. Baby was our daughter. Baby was our love. Baby was the epitome of love. Bekah is handicapped, and along with the Lord Jesus Christ, Baby was her healer.

Many people eventually came together to help, but you were the first. You were the one that gave Baby a chance. Without you, she had no chance. And even with this devastating outcome, you are our hero.

A ton of dog breeds have "aggressive tendencies." You think German Shepherds don't? Or Rottweilers, Saint Bernards, Mastiffs, American Bulldogs, Caucasian Shepherds and on and on? There's nothing special about pit bulls except that they're the preferred dog of a certain demographic. If they all switched to Saint Bernards then SBs would suddenly become the "bad dog".

Two breeds hit the NewspaperArchive search engine ceiling of 314,027 mentions, and are asterisked accordingly in the table at right. Huskies in the second quarter of the 20th century were at a peak of popularity, after their heroics in delivering diptheria serum to Nome over the Iditarod Trail in 1927. St. Bernards appear to have been very popular as well.

The exercise was skewed toward finding more pit bulls rather than fewer, since multiple searches were run to try to find pit bulls under a variety of different names; since searches were not run on every recognized dog breed; since not all mentions of huskies and St. Bern-ards were returned; and since several always rare breeds such as Basenjis were included in the sample, to establish a lower-end benchmark for comparison with the most popular breeds and breed types.

The sum of pit bull terriers, Staffordshires, and American bulldogs came to 34,770: 1% of the sampling of nearly 3.5 million breed-specific mentions of dogs.

My dog has gotten attacked a bunch of times in situations where if she wasn't a huge dog and I wasn't in a position to grab the other dog it would have been really bad. Some involved pit bulls, a bunch didn't too.
