Taos is nice if you like to ski.

The Sangre de Cristo range has some pretty great backpacking areas.

Albuquerque is a meth-head shithole.

Fun mountain, some pretty good terrain, snow conditions can be a little variable, but it makes up for it with almost no crowds, even during peak times. Also, no snowboarding.

There's a few good spots, but it isn't Aspen or Whistler.

Mountain caters mostly to olds and families.

It's the highest-percentage expert mountain I've ever been on, and probably the 2d hardest mountain I've been on after Jackson Hole. It's also really steep and has all standard chair lifts, so the ratio of lift time : slope time isn't good. The town of Taos is like 30 minutes away.

All that said, it's well worth going to one year if you hit 1 or 2 resorts a year.

I dunno, it definitely skews towards a more advanced skier, but there's plenty of accessible skiing for a beginner/intermediate. It's nowhere near as advanced as Snowbird, Alta or Jackson Hole.

I dont even know what qualifies as advanced, anything in bounds at a resort is generally pretty tame

Taos is cool. Skiing is fun and you can rent an airbnb in the middle of the desert and take shrooms and blow up fireworks like I did on NYE. There are also some natural hot springs but the river gorge that were fun to check out. Santa Fe is chill and not far from there too.

Santa Fe is fairly cr, very bizarre place - good arts and food scene, too many Boomers imo

Easily top 5 weirdest us city just based on architecture and zoning laws alone

Everything is fucking one story Adobe structures, so weird to drive thru

Abq is a septic shit box - one of the worst places I've ever been to. Seems like it's suck in Carter era, felt like a desert version of Camden with meth instead of crack hth

It bears repeating just how fucking terrible ABQ is, can't stress this enough
