i was planning on taking bar 2 a few years after passing one of CA/NY...and then flamed out from taking bar 2 because it was so boring and i didn't study early enough

i had a lot more patience back in the day before i did biglaw...biglaw ruined me

i was worried for both bar 2 & 3 because i didn't have time to study much for either and ended up passing very easily (non-CA states actually tell you how much you passed by). it's an easy test you begin to realize. i feel pretty confident i could take it cold and pass.

i do remember being freaked out about not having passed bar 1, and then passed with an MBE that was like 90th percentile...LOL

it's basic legal principles & common sense man. i don't have anything to do with crim law in my daily jerb but i still remember the basic mens rea & attempt rules & felony murder & all that BS.

i guess...except now they added shit like civ pro and most of the MBE is property rules, which has very little to do with common sense and is way more detailed than i remember

most of it is still common sense even if you don't remember the exact rules. easement shit and covenants that run with the land and crap. and that's only a handful of questions. most shit is straightforward contract rules/crim stuff/torts, etc.

The bar is so fucking stupid. They should really just incorporate a legal thinking section onto the LSAT so that people were barred in all states right after graduating from law school.

That way you stop the shit law schools from making money, remove the restraint on mobility for lawyers, and stop the bar admins from stealing money.

There is no point to an organization that thinks people moving to Illinois to practice IP litigation need to learn that states paternity laws (while demonstrating no proficiency in IP law).

all the smaller states like the bar exam to keep the horde of unemployed ppl from NY/CA and shit from mass applying to jerbs in flyover
